Model Lessons by Renowned Teachers
On April 8th, teacher Zhu Yueqin delivered a music singing lesson for Grade Two titled 'On the Grassland', presenting a high-quality demonstration lesson to showcase the exemplary and leading role of the top teacher, and further enhancing primary school music education.
To be concrete, during the class, teacher Zhu ingeniously used silk scarves to assist in teaching, allowing students to intuitively feel the duration of a whole note, which is four beats, and thus overcome the teaching difficulty. In the meantime, considering the characteristics of lower grades, she helped students perceive the 4/4 time signature through body movements. Also, she used fun games and graphic scores to consolidate the foundation of singing the song. Moreover, she incorporated basic Mongolian movements such as hard shoulder, wrist press and lift, and horse-riding steps, thus enabling students to sing and dance simultaneously and immerse themselves in the culture of the grassland. Finally, the triangle and maracas were arranged into groups for a performance, which not only trained students' cooperative skills but also deepened their understanding of the song, bringing the classroom atmosphere to a climax.
Overall, the entire class closely adheres to the concept of 'student-centeredness', organically integrating key and difficult points teaching, ethnic culture and instrumental practice, thus providing practical teaching references for music singing classes in lower grades.
